Can anyone make Carbon fibre or A4 stainless fabrications?

I'm not looking for advice on HOW to do this-I've already figured out that I can't do it myself and produce what I want-which is 6 identical items (pardon the rough drawing done in paint)

I can do one-off and it looks right in 2mm carbon sheet, but my scrap rate is too high to get 6 the same. The same thing would look 'right' in 1mm to 2mm A4 stainless as well.

The dimensions aren't too critical, as long as the slot's the right size, and the slot can be radiused at either end if it's easier (IE a drill hole) as long as the slot including the radius is 35mm.

Can anyone here make them?

The external trim for some lights-hence the dimensions not being too critical.

Any local laser cutting Co should knock those out in stainless cheap enough. These are just down the road from me. PM me if you want me to sort it for you

If you want it CNC cut you will want a proper drawing - RIBNet won't let me attach a dxf, but here is a pic of your bracket drawing in CAD.

If you want the CAD drawing pm me an e-mail address and I'll send it over to you - If you want to specify any of the corner rads I can add them in.

Any number of companies can laser cut it in stainless - shop around because in my experience the costs vary a lot (as much as twice the price) based on how busy they are. The ones I deal with are all around Poole:

Home - Field Engineering

WRES Ltd - Quality manufacturing in Aluminium, Stainless and Mild Steel to the Highest Standard

Welders in Dorset

Keysworth Engineering - Wareham, Dorset

QA - Precision Engineering

Cheers

Chris

I got my chippy to make a template and the used a festool to cut out my dash parts. My carbon is 5mm but there are sheets on eBay for ok money but they are thin.

That's part of the problem I'm having-in 2mm carbon it's REALLY hard to stop the edges of the slot either splintering, going furry or starting to delaminate. It does it even though I'm taping the workpiece.

It's easy enough to cut the pieces out from the main piece of sheet without it happening but getting the slot cut out requires different tools as it's quite small.

After too long looking at the console today, (and realising I can't actually make the stuff I want to without spending about £100 in propane to heat the garage while it sets...).

I've decided not to fit deck lights to the boat at all. The many offers were greatly appreciated though!
