Can I have a go please mister?

The US Navy were on manouvres around Esbjerg this morning and I managed to get a few shots before being asked politely (but firmly) to desist from taking any more pics....

Twin 475hp Cats driving Rolls Royce jets apparently with a top speed on flat water of 50 knots....but wouldn't answer any more questions!

The complete disregard of all the Health and Safety regs we're obliged to comply with on a daily basis made me smile though....no high-viz, no lifejackets, riding in ribs being craned in from the quayside, etc, etc.

A bit grainy, but you get the idea!

That brings back memories, worked in Esjberg for 2 years down there in the harbour at Schlumberger's base, does it still smell of fishmeal in the summer ?

Oh yes, the fishmeal factory is alive and well! Fortunately, it's not everyday it's producing and the port has moved on a bit....applewood smoked salmon was the aroma today.

Tomorrow could well be fishmeal however....again!
