As title really, my bro has bought a project and we're just curious what kind it is??

Tornado possibly ,,, I'm sure someone who knows more will come along.
Hull, rubing strakes , console point to it being one but many of the era were 'similar'

Pretty sure not a Tornado by the outer chines and console. I'd say a Humber, and if pushed for more detail, an Assault.
Of course get out of jail card is viewing this on my phone;-)

RIBase
With what I can see I would tend to agree with the notion of a Humber.

Yep, the hull looks identical to mine.

Any chance of a pic of the transom from inside the boat.

The console certainly looks like a Northcraft (last picture on this eBay advert). But I can't find a photo showing that vertical bit of hull coming down from the tubes.

On the other hand, if I do a Google image search for "Northcraft Seasport 5.5", I get this remarkably familiar thumbnail from eBay.

If I then do a reverse image search, I get eBay again, some fraudulent-looking sites, and a Gumtree ad which contains some of your other images.

The Gumtree ad doesn't include "Northcraft" in the description, and I can't find the eBay one.

Yeah the Gumtree ad is my boat, I only just won it, still to pick up, hence I'm using the ad pics!

I've just noticed that A1an said the hull was like his while I was still trying to find pictures. So between that and finding almost nothing but the same advert you bought the boat from in the first place, I've not said anything terribly useful here...

(Again!)

Should be able to work it out from the serial number.
Try transom bracket and power head.

I've yet to pick it up, so I'll have a look when I do, thanks for the help!
