Can you tell me who made this console?

Hoping someone will be able to tell me who made this. Initially thought it was from Outhill but theirs are slightly different - unless their website's out of date. It was on a Pacific 22 which had had the engine bay moved right aft and a Volvo KAD 32 fitted, and was for sale through AAA marine in Cowes. Reason is I want one the same for my Pacific!

Slight change of topic, anyone know where I can get solid deck hatches, ie strong enough to walk on?

Many thanks!

Another company made some P22s for a short while for the USA mod. Cant remember the companies name but it will come to me. They had a similar set up, with a volvo engine aswell. I might have a photo somewhere. The company isnt around anymore, if it wasnt one of their boats, the console could have been made by a number of manufacturers. Is that like your console Pete?

Neville,
I think this was a Halmatic boat that had been modified. I heard a lot of cautious words from people when I went to look at it, sounds to me like they've upset the balance of the boat by moving the engine very far aft. The boat sank when moored stern to a river, the water just ran in over the stern.

I think that this console is similar to pete's but slightly narrower, it doesn't have the same hatch arrangement and has a wide flange about 2" above the deck which looks bad but is in exactlty the right place to stick your toes! I like the screen and grab rail arrangement, would like one but don't know where it came from.

Nev, think my console is longer than this one.

Roohairy, if you are after either one like mine or, one like AP / JK had in Still Never Again/Pheonix (sorry no photo) then Ocean Ribs in Portchester have the moulds and will do a console for about £400. They are both about the same height and width just the length varies.

Perhaps JK can post a pic.

I think you might be right about an experimental rib. Last time I was in Halmatic I had a good nose around and there are all sorts of things tucked away in odd corners, most of which I would dream of buying let alone take to sea.

Pete

Roohairy

Looks similar but not exactly the same as the one in my Ocean 6.25.

Pete7 has already suggested you contact them, you will find them in the book under Windsor Brothers Marine.

Nasher.
