Can't find my CE plate

As some of you may know, I'm selling my Rib, trouble is I can't find my CE plate anywhere. When I purchased the boat back in June 2010, I was told the sponsons had been renewed in 2007, and a flow coat applied to the deck around the same time, and I must say the sponsons did and still do only look a few year old, and the deck has subsequently been coated with a few layers of International deck paint since. with a jet wash and light sanding between coats.
With the purchase I recieved a bag with smaller bags inside full of bits n pieces plugs fuses conectors and bulbs etc, I've stored all the spare parts in a tool box on board for a while now, but I can't find the original bag, and can only assume the plate must have been in there.
Or maybe i'm looking in the wrong place? all I can find are the MCA code stickers, with the last one dated 2008.
Q is, Is it posible to get a replacement.
I have the reciept of purchase, and I know the original owner purchased from BWM 1996, and still runs a successfull diving business with new Hard boat and Rib. However I've been pm'd from a new member requesting a picture of the plate, so I clearly need to get something sorted soon. as I would rather keep the rib than sell for much less than asking.
Your thoughts comments offers or advice is welcome.
I've included a link to the ad, and some pics of the MCA patches and sponsons.

Boats sold [first offered on the market] before 16th June 1998 do not require CE marking.

Also a CE plate is only required for recreational craft. Commercial craft such as yours are exempt.

The green sticker in the first picture looks as though it has been stuck over a similar
red one underneath. I wonder if the red one had something on it?

Cheers, I didn't know that either. I wonder if i'd get more interest if I fit some double pod seats, make it more for recreation friendly, there'd be enough room for 6+ Ullman seats but out of my price range unfortunatly.

Your right the red is identical to the green and the blue one on the other side, but the info is exactly the same on all, although most of the print has rubbed off now, but still shows was coded. infact I think it's only the liferaft and a couple of bits and bobs missing for recoding.

I never had a CE plate supplied and fitted by Osprey when they built my Hull in the summer of 2007. Does this mean that I can't sell or will find it difficult to sell my boat in the future?

Be interesting to find out Andy, but with build quality names like Osprey and BWM I reackon people will realise they'd be buying good quality kit.

Andy, as you know my hull etc. was supplied around the same time. I had to push a little to get a CE plate which was later supplied as a seperate item for me to fit. I am not sure who you would approach to get one now with the change to Osprey's marketing and supply arrangements.
I had to clear out the garage this week-end, a there was my CE plate Must fit it soon

Pretty sure my Osprey doesn't have a CE plate, but it doesn't matter much here

All I think there is on mine is a hull ID number on the transom.

Since 1998 it became law (RCD) that the manufactures must display the "CE" plate near the helm...there was no requirement before that time.
We have sold a number of Ribs into Europe over the years and we get a number of requests from them for a "pre-1998" CE plate and certificate of conformaty...?

Same here. Mine came in the post some weeks later after having pestered for it. The excuse was that they came from the main agent in Belgium.

I believe it is not a requirement on home built boats so long as they are not sold within 5 years of construction. Not sure if rigging your own boat counts for self-build?

I also had a hull ID on the transom until the pressure washer blasted it off. The other 'hidden' one fell off very early on too during the fit-out!

I have a Hull ID number on the transom as well. Perhaps I'll contact Liverpool Powerboats who now sell Ospreys.

Is there a "hidden" one? Where do they hide it?

It's a secret! Though if you look carefully in your port transom box you might just spot it.
