Catching bait

Headed out to the shelf late today (81 klm round trip), as we wanted a few striped tuna for snapper bait. GP (eldest daughter) was on rod watch when I noticed she looked as if she had fallen asleep... I thought I had better look behind only to see one of the outfits with most of the line screaming off the spool. I struggled to remove the rod from the holder and felt sure we had a nice yellowfin. GP took over as I got the other outfits out of the way. With line still pulling from the reel I headed the boat towards the fish. What a surprise to only have a stripey - how hard did this little fellow go!!...got into a few kingfish on the way home but found the single hooks on the xraps kept pulling, so only landed rats at around 60cm.
