Centaur Ribs

Hi to all!

I haven`t been in here for years because almost all of them have been "boatless"...... now the bug bit me back and I`ve just bought a second hand RIB which is branded "Centaur Ribs TA 480" and has an aluminum hull.

Does anybody in here ever heard about that company? Obviously the boats are of chinese origin but normally there`s a european importer who should leave a small trace on the www even when he`s gone out of business some days ago.....?

To me the hull looks quite similar to a Ribeye TA480 but I couldn`t verify where those are made?

Here`s a picture of my boat. It`s a little shabby right now but - apart from the fiberglassed part which sits ontop of the tube at the bow - everything`s unbroken, in place and works.

Would really like to learn more about it so any hint would be great!

Thanks for your answer. I`m familiar with that site although it doesn`t reveal too much... tried to send an email but their contact page won`t work- seems like they`re terribly afraid about customer feedback....

Anyway: Today I`ve got the invoice from the boat dealer who sold the boat to me and on that it´s named "Yachtsman Alu Tender TA 480". That also didn`t turn up anything on Google. It gets more and more mysterious to me since the boat isn`t that old, just 8 years and somebody must`ve sold them back then?!

Maybe somebody else in here knows something. For now I just have to wait...

Office 888 on here might know he's over in USA the site mentions they make sports goods for USA , on the production line photo the boat looks similar to yours it also looks a bit like the high field range from Australia which I believe is made in China.
