Centenary Offshore Powerboat Grand Prix

For info.........

On the weekend of the 13/14th August there will powerboat races run by both the RMYC and RSrnYC under a joint burgee.

It will incorporate:

The Needles Trophy for Ribs
The Camden Trophy for Class III
V24 National

and the

BIBOA Gold Cup - Heat 2
RMYC Club Classic Series - Final Heat

Racing will take place on the Saturday and the Sunday. The majority of the racing will be based in Poole, but the Ribs in the National Championship, BIBOA Gold Cup and Rib Basic will race through to the Western Solent.

On the Saturday The Southern Speed Trophy, BIBOA Gold Cup and Southern 100 (Basic) will start in Poole at 14.00hrs.

At 15.00 hrs the Camden Trophy will start for national Class III in Poole

On the Sunday the Needles Trophy and BIBOA Gold Cup boats will start in the Solent and race back to Poole the start is intended to be 11.00 hrs.


In Poole 13.00 hrs National start for V24

In Poole 15.30 hrs Final of Club Classic Series (all classes)

Should be good weekend and on the Sunday the RSrnYC are running the Barrus Rib Trophy after the Powerboat race has started and this event is open to all. See the seperate entry under Cruise Planning/Rendevous.
