Centre Console?
Ive got a Flatacraft force 4 and am in the process of getting it ready for summer.
As per my other post (Picture Request) the centre console that is currently on the boat is massive. Im thinking about changing the console.
How much would a new 2 seater jockey stile console cost, and wheres the best place to get 1?
All help is appreciated......
Gadge

Outhill are very, very expensive for what they sell - BUT they are the only people to sell this stuff.
If you find an alternative let me know please!

Try Pembrokeshire Yachts down in Neyland in Pembroke. The guy used to supply them for one of the rib companaies from Europe who's name escapes me at the moment, but he had the moulds for several different consoles. He was cheap as well, like £160 but that was a couple of years ago.

I suppose the next question is does anyone have any contact details ( email address, website or phone number) for Flatacraft or Pembrokeshire Yachts?
Thanks for the help so far!

ribraff...
Do you have a mould to make two single jockey bases for me? Doubles would be OK but prefer singles i think. Happy to pay, just not too much. Also got my own contacts to get the cushons made no problem... e-mail me if you like.
Cheers
Daniel

Hi Ribraff, ive not managed to get a new console yet, been too busy tidying up the boat and getting it ready for the new engine.
At the moment, ive butchered up the console thats in it at the mo, to so if I can get it the way I want it.
If you already have a moulding, that could save me the hassle.
Would it be possible for you to email me some pics of the what the console looks like? If so please send them to gadge21@aol.com
Cheers for the help so far guys....

hi
I'll put some photos on tomorrow (3rd April) when i get to the workshop, i can make some jockey console bases too, no problem, it will be pretty difficult getting some stainless done though as the guy wwe normally use is flat out at the mo. We have a bigger console mold too if anyone's interested, it's pretty wide and space age, 'would ideally suit a 7metre+ rib, i'll put a photo on of the plug as the mold was only made yesterday!!!

We mainly do re-tubes and supply collars for some of the manufacturers too. Our sideline is building 6 metre race ribs and at the moment we're building a 7.5mtr with a 315H.P. yanmar on board for a very discerning customer who's always in these forums (grovel grovel)!!! My name's Ed, thecompany is Olmec www.olmectubing.co.uk If you give me a call tomorrow i'll give you some more info. Thanks for the interest!

Ribraff
How long you been trading? And what are the commercial tube boat jobs you have done.
What is the 6mtr race boat called you have been building and are there a few around?
Oh welcome to Rib Net.

Hi crazyhorse
We've been trading for two years now, we've done oodles of re-tubes and are now in the process of designing a bow-rider style rib too, as for the racing ribs we are hopefully going to build a few more for this season for the local powerboat boys, one of them is toying with the idea of putting 200hp on the back!!! So far we've only built about seven of the 6.1's. As i say we concentrate mainly on the tubing side of the business.
