CG66 - Registration/ passage plan

spent an hour tonight helping forth coastguard. tracking down a yacht owner. ( they called the clubhouse)

His was tender found off methil.... no passage plan, no cg66

this would have been prevent if he had registered the boat on the CG66 scheme and file a passage plan with coastguard.

please please register your boat with cg66 and update it as well.

In this case everything was fine.. but don't take the chance.

regards

S.

yes - it was...it was left over night badly secured to mooring...and ended up in methil.

I had to contact previous boat owner to track down the contact details since his yacht was not in harbour and was not club member.

we got mobile number of owner, and he answered.... now waiting for him return!

so CG66 push in harbour over next few days weeks!

meanwhile the coastguard was dealing with another incident off Stonehaven. so not being registered is nearly as bad as hoax 999 calls...

regards

Scott
