Changing Steering Cable

I need to change the steering cable on my Valiant V570 rib.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a decent supplier? I need it to be about 1meter longer than it is at the moment.

Also, any advice on how to remove it from the engine end?

I got into doing a couple of jobs on the new boat, and its ended up having a complete refit! We moved the console forward slightly and have run all the cables/lines under the floor now....hence needing to change the steering cable for a longer one.

Or is a hydraulic set up an option?

Thanks alot once again.

I'm sure someone can. Would you like them to do so?

And to go with Marinautics question what is the engine?

Depending on how much you can bend the exisiting cable you might be able to just undo the large nut on the end of the cable were it goes into the engine saddle. If not and you can't undo the steering wheel end and pull it through then its an engine off job to get the cable out. Nothing difficult, just have a couple of good friends around with some beers to help you hold the engine whilst the old cable comes out.
