I'm sure you are aware that April will often be windy in the Channel and you'll need to pick your day very carefully.

Yes, we are totaly weather dependant, if it isnt fit we dont go, it's seaworthy but definatly isnt rib, we got it just spot on for the North Channel, hope to do likewise this time.

Good luck to you anyway I'm always jealous of people who "do" it instead of "talking about" it

Had a good look at the Cuthbertson, just trying to avoid the massive subframe and being tracked for life so to speak, have you seen Mattracks? were folowing similar lines but more HD.

I saw some mattracks a few years ago - had forgotten about them - looks like a far more finished product now - looked homemade when I saw it!!!
Another solution are what are known as bog cogs - they just bolt to the wheel - great for soft ground!!!

Have you actually tried them? They're shite, they just twist, deform and rip off if you try to use 'em..... the only thing they're good for is impromptu picnic tables.... and that's from personal experience....

No I haven't - I would have thought a lot would depend on how they are constructed - surely a well designed set made from steel or alloy would be ok - would need longer wheel studs though.
