Drop me your email address to mike.burns@centrica.co.uk and I'll knock up a flyer, if you don't mind printing a few off.
Cheers

Mike,
I was amazed when I saw this - I too work for Centrica (Centrica Energy), at Barrow Gas Terminals, and I hadn't heard of this event. We are on the doorstep of the Lakes.
If you can let me know more about this event, maybe via company E-Mail, I'll have a word with some if the guys here. almond.sw@hrl.co.uk

If you send me a PM with an address to send the stuff too I could probably rustle up a couple of BananaShark race team baseball caps if you think you can get something for them?

Are there two things happening here? Forgive me if I've got it wrong...
One seems to be ideas/ help for the Cancer fundraising by Mike in June...original question about safety I think? V. worthy cause Mike...good for you.
And the other a suggestion (if I read right) that perhaps RIBNET has a sort of annual charity effort...??? In which case there would be lots more time to plan that properly.
Missus

Missus,
Can understand confusion - I've had some offers of products and services to be put up for auction for the benefit of Cancer Research. John K has very kindly agreed to set up a forum to manage this auction and I've (hopefully) been able to secure a bit of publicity for this.
I think the suggestion then is that this could become a regular (annual) thing. With different nominated charities.
Prior to setting up the auction I will be getting confirmation from all the doners that they happy with how things are going to be done and to agree a reserve price for their donations.
As you can see John has kindly renamed this thread as it has gone off track from my initial question. NB I have shelved the idea of offering a trip myself due to the potential legalities.
Hope this clears things up and that this fits with what the doners understanding is.
Cheers
Mike

Auction is Live
The Auction Forum has now been set up and the first three lots uploaded.
http://www.rib.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=33
Once I have had final confirmation from the other contributors I will upload more lots.
Lets see those bids !!!
If anyone else wants to help this very worthy cause with donations of goods and services please drop me a line with the following info:
Service / Product Donated
Quick description of Product / Service
Market Value
Reserve Price
Company Name / Individual Name you want credited for the donation.
CSL publications are running news articles for me so this should generate some interest. However if anyone is a member of a club or organisation please mention the auction and if you want copies of a flyer let me know.
Many thanks
Mike

Can't you put it on the Intranet..and shadow the prices so that Centrica staff can bid (maybe bt e mail to yourself and then you bid for them by Proxy.
After all theres only so many people hit ribnet during the course of a month and most of them have already got this sort of stuff.
Maybe i should have sent this in a PM but I am not having a go just thinking aloud
cheers
