Charlestown / St Austell

We're bringing the boat down for the racing on the 6th and 7th of August in Charlestown, the boat will be moored overnight in Par as it all dries out in the harbour. We're not racing but we're tipping some champagne over the boat to officially name the model of boat the "Stirling after Ian Stirling, a great honour!

Come and say hi and we'll give you the tour if you're interested!

Hi Cookee,
We will be on a mooring in Polkerris harbour(literally next door to Par if you dont know it) for that week, Im not aware of a harbour at Par unless its something to do with the comercial docks at Par for the china clay.

What exactly is going on that weekend, sounds fantastic, details would be good and would love to see the boat if possible !!

Look forward to hearing from you
Cheers

I can get in!

Tip for Eden project if your going, Tuesday Wednesday or Thursday. after 3.30 pm in high season much, much cheaper, you can stay until 8 and still 'upgrade' (gift aid) for free to annual pass.

I reckon we'll be in the commercial docks then.

First race is 12.30 on Saturday and two more on Sunday at 12.15 and 13.00 we will be arriving on Friday early evening or Saturday morning depending on weather and getting away from work - we'll be coming by sea from Salcombe 07836 268747 if anyone wants to get in touch.

Thanks for the helpful advice chaps!

It seems that we may end up in the harbour after all, Rob Mcarthy was there yesterday and I am hoping we'll be able to tie up in the harbour as it doesn't dry out on Neaps? I'll know more on Monday.

Cookee's shiny new boat would look good dryed out off of Muddy Beach alongside the live-aboard barges and ex-trawlers. Mud Yuppy Street.

We'll be christening the boat in some way! It's the end of Regatta week and there will be plenty going on - because of work commitments it looks like we'll be turning up on Saturday morning unfortunately but there's a party on Friday night!

We are now mooring the boat in the harbour and will be around from Saturday morning through till after the racing on Sunday afternoon.
