Chasecraft
A friend is looking at buying a Chasecraft 650, with 150 Merc.
Anybody got any views about how this RIB shapes up? I had never heard of them until this morning, and their Web site is down, so I assume they stopped trading under that name.

Chase Craft are still being built, infact Paul Tilley has just done the tube for the latest 12 metre.
The guy to contact used to be Bill Donohue in Christchurch, but I believe his part (assembly & fitout) is now being handled by a company in Poole. I'm not sure of the name, so I'll do a little researching and let you know.

I tried a 650 a few years ago when they first starting production. It's a fast boat, and feels even faster!
I reckon that it would be good fun for razzing around in, but it wouldn't be my first choice as a cruising boat. Build quality and finish looked OK as far as I remember.

Hi yep had a look at it when I was down earlier this year!
The seats looked very stylish but not that piratical me thinks!
