I've got a 5.4 m searider with Yammy 90 2 smoke on it with trailer going for £3k.
Problem is it is in the Scillies.
We are leaving in a months time.

It's not too good to be true. Just not as "pretty" as some ribs you will find plus im cutting my losses due to the original trailer failing (now replaced). All the recovery hassle put me off it.
Not massively underpowered either goes really well. Just got it on the water today so I'll post the video soon and you can see for yourself how it goes. Very stable with the deeper hull it really digs in well. Very impressed actually.
Have spoke with Humber too and it's 5.4 ocean sea safe model which they say is a smaller version of the current ocean and attaque models. Apparently designed for rescue boat on offshore oil rigs. Sold to me as ex police...
Motor performed well. Trailer now tows well.
I'll get more pics up soon

What's the maximum width of boat / trailor combination then please Pete?
If you remember I'm restricted by the box she lives in - I think the .4 bit will still make her too long to replace the 4.5 with
I'm more likely to change the 40 hp manual trim for a 40 or 50 T/T - and no the 60 won't fit

Not sure I'd have to check. the trailer is quite a bit longer than essentially needed so I guess it's still too big!
I'm going to convince you that a 60 will fit!! I can change the decals to 40 if you like...problem solved

Yes - Rick now want a smaller boat to get a bit more hands-on experience - I seem to remember another Shearwater owner that kept a collection of boats from 3m to 7.5m - maybe we're following in his footsteps....

Considering at the moment I don't have a car that's a bit of a stretch. Still if you are serious we could talk how much it will cost to ship back to Penzance.

Ahhh ! excellant news for the 'G' family, and a good (but expensive) path to take. I'm working on a new collection
I'd still be tempted by the 4.7....I bet the reverse thing is a simple fix

sorry but the Scillies is as far away as you can get from where we are and shipping would cost a bomb!

Thanks Pete - we're now the proud owner of ex-Whisper's SR4.7 (ie it's not his anymore!).
Now - anyone have spare parts for a Suzuki DT75 gearbox? I suspect we're going to need the bits needed for the reversing part of the gears!
