Worth travelling to get the best selection, you won't always find what you're after 5 mins up the road.
My own boat came from Anglesey & that was 200 miles each way. I'd only seen photos & had a chat on the phone with the owner about it so I still needed to view & sea test it, which we did at Holyhead. Well worth the trip.

Yip. I've done the South Coast and back three times after boats 900 miles round trip, Lake District, Wash. Current boat was "local" Tarbert 200 mile round trip. I'd tow it that far for a day out without thinking about it......Put in the effort, it's worth it. I've always went tooled and ready to tow home even if it means replacing wheel bearings at the roadside before the tow home.
