I now this has been covered a couple of times recently but are these boats scams or advertised to make people phone a premium rate number?

... or am I being mean and someone really will buy this for £1500.

I'm wondering if it's something more sinister, when ever I've advertised I've had to wait for the ad to be vetted and approved, yet these get through, and there are so many of them.

Vetted ? Are you joking. All that is so the systems get time to upload. Last month I had one of my listings copied and faked so I got angry - for 10 mins I went through the shite, sorry I mean site and found over 50 fake listings in just 10 mins. Reported every one. At least 30 are still live ready to steal your money!!

It's a mess. Sadly it's still one of the best outlets for real sales. The industry is crying out for a better option. Until then it's very much BUYER BEWARE!

Those outboard ones are so annoying, i just ask where is it located now. If They back with how they could ship it's a scam

Trouble is once you've sent the mail enquiry they span you with loads of rubbish. I get a lot of incoming "enquiries" from Gmail accounts starting "Dear Seller" asking for my "Final price". I assume they are hoping to pay me via western union etc but I don't even bother to reply. My rule now is don't reply to any Gmail messages!

You can spot them a mile off so don't even waster your time - if it's too cheap to be true forget it. Unless its on a traders account then enquiry further but still be cautious
