cheesed off and frustrated

today was due to be our 1st full family day out on the new RIB so we went to collect the boat from its 1st service plus a few minor repairs to find that the dealer had 'NOT' done all the repairs ..... to make matters worse the dealer had lost my boat keys which were eventually found after nearly 3 hrs ..... now its hard enough to get my wife on the boat so you can imagine how much fun she had sitting in the vehicle in a boatyard ..... think i ve cooked my goose on getting the mrs afloat for sometime ....... there's nothing quite like driving 90 miles to spend 3 hours in a boatyard ........kids going berzerk with boredom .......wife giving me earbashing .......even when keys were found we'd missed the tide ...... went and had lunch in portsmouth (gunwharf key ) which was pleasant........ then drove 90 miles home ..................WOW what a fab day ............ anybody else had sh1t service ?

Well, thats a bummer.

Had my Valiant serviced for the first time after purchase.

The guy was very nice and picked the boat up a my house, took it for service and delivered it back within a fortnight.

Engine good as new, oiled and greased. He even took care of some dents on the prop, painting it, and on the bottom thingy below the prop.

I assumed Ancient Mariner was using the same people, at Portsmouth.

Hi Chewy,

It only took a week to service it, but, since the following weekend all we got was rain and wind, he told me he would deliver it last weeked.

I live in Lisbon and the job was done on a suburban town called Belas (beautyfull girls in english).

:-)

Was not cheap though - 148€
