The boat's out of the water, holes cut in the floor for the new long-range tanks and we were due to install the new Yanmar 300 with Bravo 3X leg on 14 June.
7 July would have been a nice maiden cross-Channel run but my dealer has now discovered there's not a single Yanmar 300 to be found in the UK until mid August at the earliest. Marvellous!
Will have to pass this one up Mark. Sad, cos Cherbourg lunches are my favourites.
Where do you eat? Cafe de Paris - top notch but pricey. Le Cotentin - was great but last meal on the pre-Christmas booze run was rubbish. Le Commerce - hang-out of the French ocean racers and groupies - moules et frites or poule if you're lucky, but a cool place all the same. Le Yacht Club - great value for money. 5 course meal and a bottle of plonk for 12 quid a head!
Anyway, whatever, enjoy yourselves...
