Hi Andy

Yes .. it was me with a pal. I had planned for Shirehorse on here to come out with us but I had to cancel due to work commitments .... but then late on Friday I got a reprieve and we made a snap decision looking at the great weather. .... sorry Ian but is was so late I thought it too much so to call you!

Its 19 miles from Whitby to Scarborough but we did 46 as we were trying to ping a few wreck marks on the way down. Used 43 litres .... plus fat-boy breakfast in Whitby, fulll fish and chips in Scarborough and a welcome home beer in W. Much needed when you leave home on such a cold icy morning at 6 am

I haven't been to S'bro for some years and was pleasantly surprised to see they have dredged the harbour and added a large number of pontoons .... what was a shock was the £17 landing fee >>> but the harbourmaster generously gave us a freebie as we were only staying an hour. Something here about better research and planning ?

A great day with fab sunshine; a bit of a chaotic sea going down but lovely swells going back.

.... will let you know when we are next out Ian !!

Jeff

Jeff leaving me behind.

Gutted to have missed that trip, never mind i launched from the humber bridge well actually from below the humber bridge. It was not the best experiance for my first launch i could not get the trailer in far enough to float the boat off, could not unhook and push the trailer in to stoney. Was well stuck what to do, in the end went in as deep as i dare and used brute force to push it off, the recovery was worse managed to take a chip out of the hull trying to get it back on. I will wait to go with someone who nows what he is doing next time, i did really enjoy my first ride in a rib out of the humber estuary perfect day for it.
Ian
