colour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is frankly embarrasing, but here goes anyway!

I am about to order a new ribcraft (at last!!!) we have chosen the engine. chosen the size etc but frankly the coulour is a bit of bugger.
I therefore ask(embaressed) for those who have already on their own chosen colours to post pix of teir fine vessels so I can get an idea!

Sad I know but there we are,I cannot let the wife choose it!!!!
what you have doesn't matter, the only cour out is grey/red combo.

regards and thanks in advance

Mike,

This is my boat. It isn't a colour I would normally choose. I like the orange/grey/black boats. But I bought this RIBCRAFT and its actually quite nice. It polishes up well and I think it looks good because the GRP and tubes are the same colour.
I'm going to customize it a little over the winter but essentially I'm pleased with the way it looks.

Mike

HAve a look at Wizard. She is a Redbay 7.5 in Black.

I have heard it often that the best colour for a hull is white. apparently all the non white colours suffer with pigmentation problems.

best of luck.

Wouldn't have thought so as long as it's high quality to start off with, its looked after, and you bung lots of polish on it.

Anybody want to start a Concours RIB class ???? (On a used boat ).

Colour

I would choose a light grey hull and nipple pink for the tubes with dark red patches for a really pimped out Rib.

My Hurricane is grey on grey, with black rub strakes and A-frame... very "Gucci" I feel. More to the point, it hides dirt well, and doesn't fade in the sun... Do you get sun over there?

Personally, I've always liked the dark blue/white color scheme. Reserved, but still looks sharp.

If you enter the humber site http://www.ribworld.co.uk/#%0D%0D and choose colour options on the broadband link, you can colour a rib in lot of different combinations, hope this helps.

I'd take any colour if the F'n thing would hold air for more than 5 minutes.....

I'd normally say I like orange, but frankly at the moment I hate everything about my boat including the colour because I can see it from further away so it reminds me what a P O S it is. Choose something the same colour as your garage then it will blend in when it is broken (which will be most of the time) and you can forget about it...

If I was foolish enough to buy another one it would therefore be brown to match the stained wood on my garage.

Keep it simple!

After much deliberation / arguing / mind changing etc.. we decided on grey. Doesnt fade, easy to clean, and any accessories can add a bit of colour (no thats not catwalk talk!)
