If I wanted to colour some white gelcoat filler so it was less obviously a repair and looked vaguely like the right colour, can it be done with "some sort of " pigment?
My father is coming back in a couple of weeks so I was going to ask him to have a look around some chandlerys but all I have seen on the websites is the white Plastic Padding stuff, so I wondered if there was a way of turning it some sort of orange... can you pigment it before you apply it or is this a waste of time? I tried to get some colour matched stuff from Humber a while ago and they said they couldn't send it due to hazardous goods regulations but Dad might accidentally forget about all that HSE crap when he is packing
Anything will be better than the filler I have at the moment which is great stuff but is dark green (oops wonder where that came from then
) and the repairs are "a bit obvious" to say the least
