Yep, its certainly ordered, that's my very hull as of yesterday in Mike's workshop. Delivered the console and agreed the seating layout, so it'll be off to the tubers next week I gather.

Tubes are going to be Arctic grey, with flashes of the 'new' Bordeaux (maroon to you and me) along the side and as patches. Unfortunately it's so new that they haven't got any in stock yet!

It then comes home to me for fitting out over the winter. More pics will follow

Excellent and congratulations, is that another Ocean Console

I see that you got them to do the bespoke footwell as well.

Give me a ring at the weekend if you like, I have some info for you.

Like you, I also wasn't too keen on the Osprey consoles so went for the Ocean as it suited my needs better.

Shame you didn't have longer in the area when picking up the console Gerry. Could have met some RIBnet Solenteers for a social.

I look forward to the day we have an Osprey Channel Island meet

Do keep the pictures coming tho.

No time for that unfortunately. It was off the ferry at 6.30 am on Tuesday, straight to Ocean for the console and up to Mike for 3pm. Stop off at Banbury on the way back for an overnight and then back on the ferry at 12.30 Wednesday. 550 miles, and about as much in travel expenses later

Yep, that could be good. Just give me enough time to get mine finished! Meet you all in Alderney, then we could do a couple of French ports for lunch etc and then down to Jersey.

Codders, you've never actually spilled all the beans about your boat build. You could start a thread. I'm sure it would be well received (by most folk).

Well apparently the tubes have now been stuck on, so there's a few more minor bits to get done and it'll be on its way to me

I'd better start writing to Santa for all the extras i'll need to kit it out. First on the list being an engine!

Well here it is I now have my work cut out for the coming weeks, no perhaps I mean months! After a long trip to Wolverhampton, and a delayed return crossing on the ferry due to F9-10 winds, I have at last got it home and into the back garden. And I have to say, I'm rather chuffed. It's really not that easy mentally working out a colour scheme and layout, but I'm pleased with my choices. I'm now back in the warm having been making tents all day (I always wanted to be a scout!) so that I can work on the fit-out over the winter. +1 C today, but that's pretty cold for these parts. Rare we ever get frost on the ground, but we did this morning.

More to follow......

In looks neat, Erin. That flash of maroon sets it off nicely.

Looking good - perhaps the wrong time of year though??? Why not try to find the infamous "old empty barn" - you know the one with nothing in it.........

Cheers JW. It was a new colour this year, so thought I'd give it a try. They had to specially order some in for me.

And Codders, I'd love an empty barn, but they don't come cheap, and most are full of Jersey Royals being chitted ready for planting very soon.
