Compatible adhesives.Yes or no.

Hi,
New on here and would like to pick your brains.

Boat is Zodiac Open 650 Pro (2002) with PVC tubes.

I need to re-attach a section of the 'bolt-rope' (the part that attaches to the tube and slides into the groove on the fibreglass hull). The glue on this section has broken down and spray is gushing up between the tube and the hull.

Anyway, I have removed the tubes from the hull and have thoroughly prepped the surfaces down to clean pvc material (a lot of work!). Now I need to re-affix the bolt-rope section.

I can only obtain (easily) a 2-part adhesive product made by Quicksilver/Mercury.
(Part no. 92-818651A4) for their PVC boats.

My question is:
Is Quicksilver adhesive compatible for use with Zodiac inflatables?
(I can't buy Zodiac's own product in the Bahamas).

Is there anyone on the forum who has used another makers adhesive on their Zodiac with good results.

It is important the bond is strong because it is structural as opposed to just fixing a patch...

Thanks and hoping for some advice.

Pretty much. You should be fine with what you've got.
