Yeah Peter it's just for practice, i'm hoping a 5.4 SR will come along at the right price

I'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who has helped me so far and don't worry your jobs not over yet, i have plenty more to learn

Maiden voyage hopefully lymington sometime in the morning tomorrow, i doubt anyone wants to come as the weather looks dreadful and i'll only be going to yarmouth and then having some fun in the waves. if anyone does want to come they are more than welcome.

There is no plotter yet so i can't venture far as i'm worried i'll get lost.

Went well, only out for 2 hours as it was pouring with rain and my bilge pump had broken, started filling up so came back. should be OK now, i think it was a lose connection. overall the boat handles really well (bit stern heavy due to no bilge) and although the electronics on the boat are very dodgy the engine is great. i've got a good platform on which to build a very nice SR4

I should be out tomorrow Neil, Where do you launch from?

I run out from the Itchen.
Not sure about tomorrow yet, will see when I wake up and check the forecast.

Since the boat is in the water anyway, a run around the Solent would be welcome if it's bot likely to pour down
