Good, isn't it?

I have been involved with the project on a daily basis for three years, and I still found the book fascinating!

DAS BOOK!!

The Book is
E X C E L L E N T
.............to say the least.
Reading you feel like you are on the RIB feeling all the bumps and drops of water on you and you actual are re-living the adventure!!
What I was supprised about though it was about the decision to take this guy Al onboard.
As it is described in the book he had no experience as such and in my hamble opinion for an adventure like sircumavigating the globe on a 10 mtr boat one needs crew who know about boats, have the WILL to do and ENDURE the adventure and are tested vigorously for many years at sea.
Any way I suppose is all water under the bridge now.

Is a GREAT BOOK!!

Well done!!

I have been very busy for the last week, and although the book had arrived @ home in Margate i have been working in London.

Last night i made it home for the christmas period and opened the book, no word of a lie i hardly put it down. So much so that except a breif 1/2 hr to empty the boot and another to cook something i read it, front to back, in one hit - finaly finishing at 6am today!

Wow, amasing story, well writen and highly reccomended.

Mind you, very tired all day today!!!

Thanks AP, Clive (and steve - never met or spoken to him, but feel like i know him now!)

Well Daniel, I hope you didn't turn to the last page first to see how it ends. That spoils the story!

Yes, thanks Alan. Mine has also arrived. Too excited to thank you immediately as I am lapping up page after page.
Clive has an excellent style. Very readable and goes straight away into the action, none of this twenty pages of "what-Alans-Sunday-school-teacher-thought-of-him-when-he-was-four-years-old" crap.
A brilliant read chaps.

It wasn't for me to say but I knew that you would like it. I believe that Clive has written a best seller that will rival any other boating expedition. Wishing you all a very Happy Xmas and fun New Year.

Cheers

Excellent read Alan.

To create some atmosphere I read mine whilst taking a bath. Only got as far as your Maltese exploits so far, so the bath is nice and warm.

Am not looking forward to crossing the north Pacific.....

Hi everyone

Alan I am afraid I have to complain about the book

As a result of your book i have had a number of tellings off coming my way from the wife.

These usually are "do you know what dam time it is put that book down and go to sleep"

Upto chapter 15 now, I followed your trip through RIB net but now know that was only half of the story. A very good read, my regards to Clive on the book.

And the more I read the more I realise how you really was going against the odds and still came through

Much respect and good wish to the three of you.

Regards Gary

PS have i missed the documentary or is not to be?.

The Documentry which is being shown on American TV first will be available around the end of January. It goes into great detail of how we pushed ourselves, the boat (and all of you) to the limit and also why the "other challengers" all went back home to bed once they found that the boats they had built were not up to the job. At one time we did challenge Fabbio Buzzi to a race around the world but he turned us down stating it would be "unfair" I suggested that he should not worry and we would slow down for him in difficult seas so he wouldnt be alone. Unfortunatly, did not see the funny side of it but hey, at least we had a go which is more than he did!

Alan

I would be looking forward to get a copy of the video when availiable.
As far as Mr Buzzi is concerned I think (with all due to respect to any Italians in the Forum) that he is like all Italians with a lot of mouth but not actions to prove their words LOLOL

By the way has any ony one spoted any of Mr Buzzi's RIBs anywhere except in write ups in 'FOUSKOTO RIB' and 'RIB INT'L' magazines?? Will be very interested to know!
