Control box "hand" change

Does anyone have a throttle like the one below? If so can the side that the trim/tilt button is on be changed so it's operated by a thumb instead of the little finger? The manufacturer (of the boat) says they are single hand throttles which struck me as odd.

Picky maybe but when your hands are cold its a pain that may have been avoidable.

Just downloaded this and all the side mounts seem to have the same problem.

Suggestion:

Instead of holding the control with your hand on the 'T' bar at the top, hold it on the upright (stainless) part. You might find it a) easier to control at speed, and b) easier to operate the tilt control with your thumb or index finger instead of your little finger

Seaskills, I'll try this when we are next out, I'd also wondered if it would work palm up so thumb on right, I'll try that too!

Jizm, doesnt look ambidextrous! The flush mount option was ruled out as it does not have a neutral lock.
