Control box mount ideas?

I've got a side mounted throttle box which I need to install on my centre console.

Problem is the console has a 40mm lip so the box will need to be mounted at least that much away from the console wall.

I am thinking of sealing off the back of the box with a piece of 0.5mm steel sheet so the mechanism isnt exposed and using long bolts through the box with 40mm hex nuts as spacers between the back of the box and the console wall.

Does anyone have a any ideas or pics of their mount if they've faced the same issue?
Thanks

Use the spacer bars. I’ve 6 on mine I think to clear the screen. Long bolts as you describe. Provided you have three it will be secure.

By spacer I mean the one you will have behind the throttle assembly now. Buy more of these

Search for Nylon Stand-off spacers on eBay or Amazon.

Sounds like you have an Ultraflex B87 type box with an open back. Can you not mount the box vertical or at any angle and spin the handle on the splined shaft to a suitable position?

It’s surprising how solid the control box is when using them.
