He's the humourless, nasty git that runs the boat hire business off of the pontoon next to the public slip.

I know the guy, he's let me drop off divers there before, he did last Sunday. He pays MYH £14k a year for that piece of pontoon and he's had some near misses with people being there who shouldn't be and his punters. So he gets a little upset when people use his berth, wouldn't you?
p.s. He's much nicer if you talk to him first

There are ways to speak to Joe Public and ways to induce a smack in the mouth. He's likely to incur the latter. I've chatted with him and been on reasonable terms with him and I still think he's a twat. There's no need to speak to people the way he does.
At low water there's no pontoon for the slip users as the bit left that's not Pontoon Pete's is full with fishermen's punts.

It's a larf seeing the colour of his face change when people loaf around on his pontoon - gets even better when crews coming ashore raft up to and walk all over his hire fleet.
He is a twat though
