Cornwall Moorings/storage 2007

Hi All

I'll be in St. Ives and Fowey next August with my rib, does anyone know good places to park the boat for easy launching? is Hayle any good? Will be visiting Fowey during regatta week.

Thanks for any advise.

RIBase
Penmarlam park.

Secure slipway with IR CCTV and passcard/token entrance barrier. There are cottages to rent nearby and the slip is next to a campsite.

I stayed for a week a few years back & the harbour masters office sorted us out, phoned to book up in advance & they laughed & said they would always fined us something, just call in then we arrive! Gave us a deep water F & A just out side our accomadation

fowey harbourmaster

Penmarlem is great but the slip is very steep if you don't have a 4wd.

Fowey Harbourmaster are very helpful , by all accounts . My mum often just turn up there and have never been turned away.

The watertaxi is good and regular too if you are moored offshore .

Good point. Watch for the lip at the end at LW springs too-it's not a problem any other time. It's got distances to it marked on the slip.
