Covers?

Contemplating treating my Ribeye 600 to a nice new cover, eyes watered after speaking to Ribeye (£600+vat) - anyone know of a good place I can send my current one to so they can pattern and make me a new one for sensible money?

I took BP down to quayside & leisure in Cannock last week to be measured up. Highly regarded on the Forum. I'm having a full boat cover & a separate console/Ullmans cover for not a million miles away from what you're quoting. That seems to be the going rate for anything of any quality. It took them 4 hours to pattern & template it, so you can see why they cost so.

That seems steep to me tbh... We have a lady make up bespoke covers for us.... Top quality materials and she usually makes a couple of visits to fit / measure etc.... Last week she made us this full mooring cover to our spec (it's an 8.5m x 3m wide rib with a very tall console).... All in just over £400 inc.

If you have one to work from already and a LOT less material.... £600 seems steep....

All IMO of course

The Quayside ones come over the tubes & fit over the top of the "A" frame, so much more material & work to be fair. More suited to a trailered boat than a mooring cover. I'll put some photos up when it arrives, hopefully this weekend.

The all over for our 6.5 (over a frame and round tubes) was less than £400..... And there's as much material (more) in the mooring cover for the arctic... All pref / personal choice, but the op invited opinions.... Mine is that £600 for a known design is too much

how do you find towing with that on?

the last boat i had i had a cover that was pretty much identical to that, after a couple of years with it you could see it was wearing through the tubes in places due to the rubbing while on the move.

that is why i haven't bought a cover for my new boat (and it is kept indoors now)

cheers

It's a great looking cover.... You pays your money..... I still think it's strong money. I tow with ours and we're 4 years in with it... All my opinion of course
