Cowes Fireworks

Hi,

Someone told me yesterday that there are no Fireworks this Friday at Cowes? I can't believe that's true, but anyone got a definitive answer?

Cheers

The Fireworks are still on afaik, I haven't seen it cancelled anywhere.Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week - Entertainment schedule

Could I also ask some advice? I'm hoping to watch them on the RIB, Once anchored what should you do about Nav lights? I have the underway Red,Green and all round white but I can't turn the all round white on individually as an anchored light. Would it be best to keep them all on or stay close to the other boats and have them off?

I shouldn't worry too much, it will be hard to find a space where there isn't a boat, from past experience you can leave them on and don't move when the fireworks finish, stay put for a while and watch the real spectacle of all the others leaving, organised chaos is probably the best way to describe it, I'm out, I will float about on the east side and when it's finished I will potter round to Osborne bay for a picnic until it calms down

Me too, making a family night of it so should be a good event.

Just for the record, here is the applicable CHC notice for the evening.
