Croatia - August - family tour

I've booked a 10 day stay in mid August in Croatia with two other familys. For the first four full days we have rented two large ribs to explore the islands. We pick the boats up from Trogir and I'm now trying to route plan, does anyone have experience of this region and can they recommend places to stay or visit etc ? (I've read the BIBOA trip report from last year). We will have two boats and be three familys totalling thirteen with 7 of these being children under 13. I've heard the waterfalls up river in the krac national park are worth a visit but other suggestions would be great. The last 6 days we'll be in a hotel in Trogir so we really want to do the island/sea based stuff in these four days. The ruins on the mainland can wait till later we want great beaches, some nightlife for Mums and Dads occasionally and some cool natural beauty stuff (clothes on!)

One place we saw that looked great to visit was the blue cave at Bisevo although this looks a longish haul so I'd be keen to know if there is anything else to do around this island to make it worth a visit.

Thanks
