Stick with the prop you've got. Cruise at 38-40mph.

There does seem to be something wrong with your figures, though.

4500rpm = 40mph and 4900rpm = 48mph?
Revcounter problem/set up?

With regard to 40mph@4500rpm and 48mph@4900rpm - them's the figures I'm getting. Might take her into the local Yam techie soon and get him to see if all is ok - rev counter and speedo and the standard pieces of kit for the engine .... and the speed figures seem to tally with the gps

Garf - we have de Euro over these parts. Punts, sadly, can now only be found on the water.

If your engines doing 5000 rpm then dont worry, my max rpm is 5500 but mine max's out at 5000rpm. When i spoke to steel developments i was told if i changed the pitch and achived 5500rpm it would be at the sacrifice of fuel, and that top end would not improve by much.

If you are after acceleration and torque then stick to the pitch and size you currently have.

DO get a stainless if you can though, mine (titan) apparantly has more grip and a larger surface area so more thrust.. and it looks great!
