Custom made boat covers

Hi all,

Looking at getting a custom mode cover for my boat, as the 'free' standard one is not up to being used for towing. I have seen a split cover at:

Motorboat Covers | Sails and Canvas | Devon | Slik Cut | UK

which can be used to form a 'cabin/shelter' and used on the water at lower speeds to provide the kids with a bit of weather protection in the colder/wetter weather - which seems like a great idea to me.
I have asked for a quote, but just wanted to know if anyone else has had a custom cover made by Slik Cut or any other company, and any ideas/things to ensure/look out for.
Slik Cut use acrylic canvas and will be using Tenara thread, which they are saying will be fine for towing - any advice?
