Day dreamin
Yesterdays post indicating that there may be a RI event for 2016 has me day dreaming about taking part in the event. I am wondering if the installation of suspension seats encourages the harder driving of a rib and thus an increased chance of failure e.g saddle or engine mount failure that might not happen with ordinary jockey seats. I would expect that ordinary jockey seats have a self limit ability to reduce the shock loading that the boat will take as a coxn can only endure so much pain and hardship.
I notice that boats which suspension seats did complete the RI event so maybe I am just thinking/ talking sh*te.
Your thoughs please

Mick I dont think you will drive any harder ... I imagine it just reduces the fatigue factor, and then mitigates the odd thump you miss when driving.
I have never had suspension seats in a rib so I cant confirm this.. but for sure have my eyes on getting one now.

MustRib - have thought about them myself - is there somewhere up north that you were thinking of having them fitted, or were you thinking of doing it yourself? I'm a DIY numpty so was looking for someone north england / scotland where could get one fitted.
