Delam edge, which glue?

Ok so I think my last post was too confusing re the glue.

I have a spot on one edge inside the boat away from water, just the edge of the hypalon tape has lifted by about 1cm long and 5mm in. Just want a little glue to stop it progressing if someone catches on it etc.

Is a big tube of sikaflex necessary or can I just use a single pot for such a small job?

Hi SpearRib

If you are confused about which glue.. you could try a bit of duct tape..if its only to stop things catching on it.. ?

Its hardly worth doing anything to it at that size until you need some proper glue for a bigger repair.

If it's a solid join aside from the small loose flap, I'd just use a bit of hardware store contact cement. Solvent based, if you can get it, but the water based would do if you can't find the good stuff. All you're doing is sticking the loose stuff down.

I can get polychloroprene contact bond cheap, which is supposed 1 pot glue. i thought about just putting a needle with some glue along the slight lift and taping it down over night. it really is aesthetic, but id rather try to solve it before it spreads.
