Did I get a bargain?

Wasn't sure if this was one of the Avon ones with Halkey Roberts valves so took a gamble.
Anyone got any idea?

Well just from a life jacket point of view, a re-arming kit will set you back more than you paid for this jacket, so I would guess it would be a bargain.

But is there something special about the Avon ones....Are they collectable or something?

No,not collectable as far as I know. The only reference I could find to Avon auto LJs online was on Hotribs-here-and they say they are fitted with Halkey-Roberts triggers which from a LJ point of view are quite desirable.

There's no picture or reference to one that looks like the one I just bought though

Well, if it is puncture free (as you'd expect) it's a steal! What makes the H-R firing system attractive?

I bought a pair of Typhoon LJ's a couple of weeks ago for £30. That was a bargain just because they're BLACK .....Sexy

Errrm slap me and wake me up... I bid on it just after getting out of bed.I was getting Halkey-Roberts confused with Hammar...
It's a bargain anyway.
