difference between Arctic 22 & Pacific 22?

Hi,
recently I`ve read a lot about those Halmatic- built 22` ribs..... Thinking about buying one now but as I`ve understand it those Pacifics weigh about 2.5 tons?! That would be too much to tow around for me and I don`t want to put my boat in a marina. Are the Arctics lighter built or is it just that they`re made for outboards? Do they also have that wooden deck and what shaftlength outboards are required?

greetings,
Wolfgang

Basically the Arctic is the same but outboard model. Hull is almost identical. Tube attachment is very slightly different.

Weight for the Pacific 22 inboard is approx 1650 kgs. A heavy boat but still towable with a good 4 x 4.

The Arctic also has the wooden deck, which is fantastic as they are 100% rebuildable , although labour intensive.

Pacifics

Hi,
I trained on pacifics with the Royal Marines (a few years ago) and they are a really heavy boat. Mainly due to the big lumpy inboard diesel engine - which for some reason they decided to 'govern' but we still managed to get 35+ knots out of it. Really good boat but I wouldn't like to tow it to far - thinking money better spent in the fuel tanks of the boat than the towing vehicle!!
