Disposing of out of date flares - the solution!

The recent thread about flares was very timely, as I was just about to write this . . .

I would like your out of date flares please. As some of you may know (or not!) I run a pyrotechnics and firework display company www.swpf.com and I need a load of flares for some shows. The hand held "pinpoint" reds are what I am mainly after, but I will happily take any other sort too.

If you've got any, or know of anyone else who has, then please let me know!

Thanks
John

Michael

Obviously transportation by air is going to be a problem, and it's a long drive from Greece to the UK by car, so what I'd like you to do is deliver them by boat please. If you could come to Brighton then I'll come down to the marina to meet you

Charles

Shhhhhhh! I've warned you before. Careless talk costs lives . . .

That's true unfortunately, but I may be able to arrange to have them collected if you've got some. What I really need to find is someone with a whole fleet of boats with out of date flares!

Yep, that's me too. Sadly it's another site I haven't had time to do much with recently, so it's getting out of date. I still think it's quite useful though.

John I have a box of them (all 1991) going quietly mouldy in one of my lockers. Talk of flares is making me feel guilty and worried particularly with Charles recent adventure. Time for new ones me thinks. They are yours from the end of Nov if you are down in Portsmouth during the winter.

Pete

John,

I had mine all packed to send to you but my daughter took them; apparently they're back in fashion

As it happens John, it's an issue for the purveyors as well and they may be well willing to give them to you by the Box full. Every month or So. I'll send you a PM with a few suggestions and if you want I'll get the Viking to go and speek to her friend.

All of you that want to give John some flares why don't we all bring them along to Keiths Rib net mass meeting, wheneevr, wherever that is.
