Ocean Technical Services are a RIB builder, but unfortunately they are in New Orleans. They are based on Peters Road, Harvey which is right alongside one of main waterways. Have been trying to make contact with them, but no luck. Their web site is

Check out the 'Trade Directory' section of this site for manufacturers (in the rede header at the top of the page). I believe there are about 5 American and 3 Canadian manufacturers listed in there.

I came across AB inflatables..they are Miami/venezuela based and appear to sell RIBs as luxury tenders.

Zodiac/Avon are active in the US. Ribcrafts are built in my hometown.
You can buy many, though Ribcraft is one of the few actually manufacturing here to the best of my knowledge. Used maket is small, but keep your eyes open.

There are five currently listed in the RIBnet trade directory. Let me know if you find any more though!

Depending on whether you are looking for something off an assembly line or custom built.
Some of the major manufacturers/brands in the US/canada market are:
Achilles
Apex
Aquascan (ft. lauderdale fl based)
Avon
Brig (Ontario)
Caribe (miami based)
Dux (michigan)
Mercury (Wisconsin)
Nautica (Davie, Fl)
Novurania (vero beach, fl)
Polaris (B.C.- Canada)
Ribcraft (Massachusets)
Zodiac
We should have a complete company profile listing up on the magazine's website by the end of this coming weekend. That might help.
Welcome to the light side by the way- you've chosen a good path to take in the boating world
Erika

check out Apex also.
They are made in South America I think ,but are getting a stronger support network here in the US.
I checked several models out and not too bad.

US Manf
Interesting reading the list of supposed US RIB companies. Zodiac? No, they are very French. Zodiac Hurricane? Canada. AB? Apex? Built in thrid world countries.
The US list is short as far as I know:
Aquascan
Nautica
Noverania
Ribcraft
O-tech
Willard
The others are simply importers with an office here (Protector, Mercury, etc.) - hardly US companies.

There are a few others; built-to-order aluminum welders primarily in the Northwest. Unfortunately, they also are a bit reticent to compete with the glas hull manufacturers, so they tend to concentrate on the over-24-foot market.
I had mine built by Polaris in Canada; very happy with it.

Yes , the build to order aluminium RIbs are nice, but pricey
Buddy over here has a 24ft Northwind (Seattle based ) that cost over $120,000
( they do make smaller ones though)

Ribcraft
I own a RIBCRAFT here in the US. The boats are built to order, which is great, and they are more rugged than you can imagine! Also, the customer support is great, from the sales team to the service.
Check our their new website, and build your own RIB online!

And most of these are not USA based either - just manufacturing divisions. Wonder how long it will be before the US market REALLY takes off???
