Last summer three adults and a young one spent 30 min playing around us, jumping out of the water but always keeping the baby sandwiched between two of the adults. That was on the west side of Bute. Havent seen any this year just porpoises.

Place is full of them, counted 19 on Saturday morning between Kip and the Kyles . Still no Baskers spotted yet.

We were drinh the tug about 10 Nm off Aberdeen 4 days ago and a pod made a Beeline for us and messed about for about 15 minutes. It was cool and groovy and maore than made up for being in Scotland

I also was driving a survey boat in early January in Aberdeen HArbour (and it's approaches) and there was a large Pod hanging around outside there. They played with us for several days and there was loads of em at least 6. It's very dificult to drive a straight line when your busy being entranced by Dolphins!

Likewise my photgraphic skills didn;t shine!

I am lucky enough to live near Inverness where the same group of dolphins come and feed most days in the summer - gallery of photos here if you're interested www.MorayFirthDolphins.com

I actually got my rib partly to do dolphin sightseeing especially when friends are up. Still to take a really good photo from a boat, most of my photos are taken from land where it is much easier to guess where they'll jump next. On a boat, they could be anywhere within 360 degrees, so very hard to shoot.
