Photo's are Here :-)

These are Just a few of the pictures, no doubt Humper will post some more. Unfortunately the quality is not the best as we only got movie footage so the pictures are all screen captures from the movies.
The movies are all in quicktime format at the mo but I am going to edit and convert so will post when done.
Have to say ... It was an Awsome Experience!!

Wow

Absolutely awesome,
I live in north wales and use my boat around Anglesea and I have never seen them like that before.Just come back from the annual jolly boys week away in Newquay West Wales on the motorbikes, where the dolphins come right up to the shore but I have never seen anything like that before.
Regards
Howy

That's incredible!

Had to turn the sound off though-was she trying to communicate with bats?

Not sure ... thought it was Dolphin language .... think they got a little excited ....lol Footage was taken from Humpers boat ... and the Dolphin Whisperer (or screamer ) was His Daughter

I have been going to Anglesey for 35 years since I was a kid and never seen anything like it before ... come to think of it ... seen dolphins all over the world and never seen anything like that .... not even at Sea World !!

dolphins

Been boating in anglesey from menai, typically up to puffin island for 32 years since a baby. 3 years ago (4 this summer), saw similar dolphins like the photos above, couldn't believe it. Since then, i have seen them about 3 times each summer, awesome sight. I only boat once every few weeks as well. Something must be changing.

Great pics !

A pod of around 30 came into Cemlin Bay (Anglesey, near Caemas) at high time about 3 weeks ago.... the biggest I'd seen... are they actually Dolphins or Porpoise ? If they are Dolphins, what make are they ?

We normally see a pod between Carmel Head & Brickyard (near Caemas on Anglesey)... I can't believe they came so close though !

3 of us (6.2M Avon, Viper Max 5.8M and a 4.8 Ribcraft) are planning to go around the island on Sunday..... leaving Holyhead, heading Carmel Head / Bull Bay way... more the merrier if anyone fancies it ??

dolphins around anglesey

Hi, they were bottle-nosed dolphins. porpoise are much smaller, don`t jump and don`t engage with you. They are pretty shy creatures and usually swim away from you and you don`t normally see more than 2/3 together. The rascals that we filmed were very confident and really put on a show for us for around 50 minutes and they came very close to the boat, there were too many to count as they seemed to be everywhere around us. Ive seen them before but never this lively and interactive. We left them after 50minutes or so because we had to get back .
It is worth noting that The Welch rural affairs minister is still allowing scallop boats to dredge up the sea bed along Cardigan Bay and this may be pushing the dolphin population further north. This practice has been banned in Cornwall and Devon as it is on the West coast of Scotland. Maybe she`ll wake up before we lose all the bottle-nosed dolphins around Wales....But alas she probably won`t.
PM me if you want to meet around Anglesey some time.
Regards
Humper

Wow. That is amazing, you could wait a life time and not see any think like it. Plan to go up to Red Wharf bay in June, was not going to take the RIB as the launch fees and registration fees make it expensive, but may have to have a re think after that video, thanks.

Ps For god sake "cut the engine"
