Dolphins at Poole

We had a couple of trips out yesterday evening and had a fabulous encounter with a pod of 12 dolphins in the Swash channel. They played around the boat for about 10-15mins.

This pod has now been in the area for about a week, usually seen early morning/late evening. None of the crew had a camera (doh), but am hopeful the passengers will forward some pictures/video soon and will post.

Fantastic - you dont get that on a £7 round the harbour cruise ! Hope its going well ( and I hope I see the dolphins soon ! )

I must have seen them the same day, just off old harry rocks oustide the channel, one swam under my RIB ! I did take some pictures on my phone but came out rather bad quality, I need a proper camera that can cope.

Did you spot the basking shark Saturday? I didn't see it, but it was in the national papers.

the dolphins were off of durleston head on thursday about six of them and a bull seal in swanage bay on sunday 16th ....wicked
