I'm going to have difficulty choosing my side here. I've got to find a pub where nobody cares who wins so long as we all get drunk !

I suppose you've thought of "The Big Blue" otherwise known as "Le Grand Bleu" ?

My first boat - grey tubes - 3.5 hp - 'Grey Streak' ( due to extreme performance !)
Second boat - white tubes - 'white streak'

Third boat - blue tubes - blue streak ..... but the wife thought not right so ended up just as 'Streaker' - was going to be streaka - dont ask why !

Blue Sreak must get my vote ( or a close second of Blue Job ! - not sure some people ( coastguard) will find it funny on the radio though , probabaly rules against it ! - personally hilarious hearing that 3 times on the radio if you end up assisting anyone .Blue job giving assitance ! )

Actually its not very good at all.

This suggested name sadly illustrates how a growing section of our society finds amusement from vulgarity.

Oh my you always get one don’t you.......? Sorry Tim I fail to see why you find this suggestion so offensive, lets look at the fact, Hightower has built this RIB up himself and therefore its mostly his work or JOB, and the tubes are blue, if you choose to see sexual connotation in the suggested name then that’s your problem, I suppose whoever suggested BLUE BOY should be castigated for suggesting such a paedophilic name! or BLUE WILLY as that denotes a reference to sex; maybe the boat should be called GET A SENSE OF HUMOUR YOU MUPPET!

"Blue Job" falls into the same naming catagory as "Wayne Kerr", "W Anchor" "Wet Dream" etc etc, usually owned by shaven headed, earing wearing, neckless yobs who do nothing but cause anti social behaviour on the water.

Just had a look in the mirror and I don't have a shaven head (grade 4 surely doesn't count), I wear a shark's tooth around my neck (Google it, I'm sure you'll find the significance), my Team GBR Rolex Commodores Cup polo shirt looked ok, (although that does mean I am regarded as a hazard to navigation by my grey-funnel line mates) and my maritime ASBO doesn't appear to have arrived in the post (although that could just be the strike! And yet I still find the double-entendre amusing, what kind of social misfit am I?

I look forward to your reply Tim
