My boat is called "Inde" but I would not dream of calling it " Indefatigable"

However, it would be OK to call your boat Bismark or Belgrano.
You are right - it could be disrespectful but you could find plenty of non confusing non disrespectful ones to choose from. After all how many small boats are there with the same name and nobody complains about them?

Not sure General Belgrano would go down well locally, I've had enough holes in my boat already thank you

I was thinking of the recent Broadsword that was down here in the mid 80s for a while.

Using the torpedo theme, you could call it Tigerfish

What? when the brown stuff flies, you are going to come out with that mouthful three times?? And I think that "this is RIB, RIB, RIB. RIB" will get more than a few strange responses

RIB Name

Andy, as you know I am a sad individual, and with the thumb print where I should have hair getting bigger by the day, I have had to accept 'er in doors suggestion.
So, Jianna it is. A couple of pints will buy a full explanation, but I am sure you can work it out

How about Flying High? Or High Flyer? Obviously takes in part of 'Hightower' but also a reference to Osprey. And she'll be flying across the Solent soon.

Back on the theme of 'Er Indoors or SWMBO, how about Windbag? P.S. That's not a reference to Mrs Hightower.

When I had my 27' cruiser, I always wanted to name it "Tastes Like Chicken" and name the tender, "Smells Like Fish" - My wife never went for it.... wouldn't even consider "Chicken" and "Fish"
Can't blame her really...

typing that just made me think of a good fishing boat name for female captain:

"Chick In Fishin' "
