Dorset Ribbers - Urgent important help needed Swanage area

Its been a while since I have posted on here and it is very sad that this is the topic that has prompted me to log back on...

I guess most of you who are local to the Poole/Swanage/Lulworth area know about the tragic events that occurred a couple of days ago near Swanage where a young lady drowned after getting trapped in a cave:
http://www.rib.net/forum/f8/sad-inci...ves-58994.html

Unfortunately, the search for her body continues and some people involved are asking for any help that can be provided, particularly if anyone is willing to provide assistance with a rib.

The details I have received are that the most likely area will be Chapman's Pool and Swanage with the wider area being Studland to Lulworth. Probably next to the coast but maybe up to 1km offshore.

Any help will be very gratefully received. If anyone is out and about in the area (by the coast or on the sea), please keep an eye out. If anyone is able/willing to provide any further, specific assistance, please send me a PM with your contact details and I can pass it on.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Tim

This is a really sad story, sorry I can't help as I'm boatless at the moment, however I hope that some of the others on here can help. Thanks for posting this

this is sad, and the family will want nothing more now than to have her body back in order to have a funeral. it may be worth noting that if the body is found in the water, it will be classed as a bio-hazard. dont try to recover it, instead hold your position and request 'a quiet word' with the coastguard rather than blurting out your discovery on ch16 for all to hear. i wish anyone involved good luck in their search.

I should add that this thread may be checked by the guys doing the searching.

I know there are a lot of you based around that area so please be vigilant if out on the water this weekend.

Thanks,

Tim

Really wish I could do something Tim, but I am afraid that other things are keeping me off the water this week-end.
I hope that there is a swift resolution.

We will be looking whilst out, though very difficult to spot.
I do hope the body is located soon, as each day passes, the possible area will increase.
Steve
If they need another boat, I can make ours available if the fuel cost is covered
