I'm aware m'lud that ignorance is no defence , however I was sincerely unaware that the "feature" section existed. When I open Ribnet, I'm presented with a list of forums (fora?) no sign of a features section. Maybe I need to dig deeper. I'll watch the postman with interest

When I read the title I thought this was heading to the bilges for sure. Having read the post it's very informative and well worth duplicating.
Didn't spot it first time out either.

Appreciate the post about this. Just hope I'm never in the situation I have to act... but if I do, at least I know some of the signs to look for.
This happened earlier this week in Canada in just a metre of water, sad indeed. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/windso...-st-clair.html

That's because it was last March. She effectively died of Hypothermia, not drowning.
As an aside - I've done a couple of 40 minute dives in water that was 3 degrees C. Even with a full dry suit and big undersuit, gloves etc, it was absolutely numbing and I was actually in tears after the first dive as the feeling returned to my hands. The water off our northern shores in winter drops to 6 degrees - I'd hate to fall in....

Didn't realise it was earlier in the year.

Even so, it shows that you can miss things in the features section which I very rarely read.

Well it made me read it as it made 250kts (and now me) post it on FB, so worth it.

Nice one Andy
it does not matter if this was posted before. It cant be posted often enough. If it saves just one person it is good stuff.

Any new posts in Features will still show up in the App as elsewhere. Anyone who has missed this the first time round has clearly been neglecting Ribnet and not reading every post (so thats most normal people, or probably everyone except Willk then!).

Once you pass the exam and complete your moderator probationary period you don't need to read them all. Even better your pay increases by 50% at that point ;-)
