dry berth / craning service

Hi all,

Is there somewhere in Gosport/warsash area that offer a complete dry berth service or just a facility to launch & recover onto my trailer.

I was quoted £50 for launch & recover from the place opposite Haslar marina . Is this normal ??

My Car is not a 4*4 and has real trouble on a slipway hence the need to dry berth or the recovery service.

I've read on another thread about Brown's in portsmouth - a bit too far for me really to be practical, but how much do they charge as a reference point ??

Many thanks

Paul

Paul if you don't have a 4x4 then use a long pice of rope especially as you have a light boat. The slip at Haslar creek is public despite the appearance of the posh car park you have to drive though to get there. alternatives are the slip at the Hardway (Brokenhurst/elson) which again is free but parking tricky and there is another into Campers marina in Gosport but its narrow. If the sea is calm gaffers on the sea front at Gosport is a good slip.

Will be down at Halsar pm Sunday if you want a demo.
